Yue Wu

Dr Yue Wu is a Research Fellow at the Sydney School of Public Health, University of Sydney, within the Health and Clinical Analytics Lab. Her work focuses on mathematical modeling of clinical and public health challenges, particularly infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance. She specializes in causal Bayesian Networks (BN) to improve healthcare decision-making, clinical trial design, and patient outcomes.

Current projects include modeling urinary tract and respiratory infections in children, sepsis management tools, and vaccination safety strategies. Key research interests involve causal modeling for disease understanding, diagnostic support systems, and learning health systems. Recent grants include translational AI approaches for pneumonia diagnosis (2024) and improving lower respiratory tract infection management (2023).

Publications highlight contributions to Bayesian network applications in SARS-CoV-2 diagnostics, antibiotic resistance modeling, and vaccine efficacy evaluation. Her work bridges interdisciplinary methods with clinical practice to address global health challenges.
