Dr. Yue Wang serves as Laboratory Manager at the SHRIMP facility within the Research School of Earth Sciences (RSES) at the Australian National University (ANU), a position held since 2023.
Prior roles include:
- 2022-2023: Laboratory Analyst at RSES SHRIMP lab
- 2019-2021: Senior Engineer at Geological Survey of Norway
- 2019: Research Officer at James Cook University
- 2016-2018: Research Assistant at James Cook University
- 2011-2015: Associate Professor at Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences
He earned his PhD in Geochemistry from the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences in 2011.
Dr. Wang specializes in isotope geochemistry with focused expertise in metal isotopes. As a Researcher in the Earth Systems Chemistry group and member of the Geochemistry research area at RSES, his work leverages the ANU SHRIMP facility's advanced capabilities for high-precision isotopic analysis. His research bridges analytical chemistry and earth sciences, particularly in developing methodologies for trace metal isotope applications.
Under Dr. Wang's management, the SHRIMP facility supports cutting-edge research in planetary formation, crustal evolution, and environmental processes through its world-class ion microprobe technology.
