Yue Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Central Florida (UCF). She earned her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2023. Her research focuses on robustness, reinforcement learning, optimization, and computer vision, with applications in autonomous mobility-on-demand systems and non-Markovian tasks.
- Educational Background: Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from SUNY Buffalo (2023)
Her ongoing projects include robust reinforcement learning under model uncertainty, long-term performance analysis with environmental uncertainty, and sample complexity of RL. Recent work emphasizes distributionally robust reinforcement learning, multi-agent systems, and transfer learning frameworks.
Dr. Wang's publications span theoretical advancements in robust average-reward RL, algorithmic design for offline and online settings, and practical applications in electric vehicle rebalancing for AMoD systems. Her research bridges theoretical guarantees with real-world implementation.
- Scientific Awards: AAAI 2023 Distinguished Paper
- Professional Activities: Reviewer for ICML (2022-2023), NeurIPS (2022-2023), IEEE Big Data (2022), and journals including IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems and IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence.
