Dr. Yuanyuan Feng is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Vermont (UVM). She holds a Ph.D. from Drexel University's College of Computing & Informatics and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Computer Science. Her research focuses on human-centered computing, addressing socio-technical challenges in data privacy, usable security, health informatics, and responsible AI.
Dr. Feng's work bridges the gap between technical systems and human needs, emphasizing ethical data usage and equitable technology design. Her recent grants include an NSF SaTC Award for advancing differential privacy communication and an NSF CRII Award examining privacy in college athletics performance tracking. She has published extensively on topics like IoT privacy, accessibility for visually impaired users, and post-pandemic data privacy attitudes.
