Yu Zheng

Yu Zheng is a Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management and Organisation Studies at the School of Business and Management, Royal Holloway, University of London. Her research focuses on international HRM, labor mobility, and management practices in multinational corporations (MNCs), particularly Chinese and Japanese firms.

Her research explores the transfer of HRM practices in MNCs, employment relations in China, and the political economy of Chinese investments in Southeast Asia. She has contributed to journals like European Journal of Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management Journal, with recent work addressing migrant worker management, AI in HR analytics, and knowledge transfer in Chinese MNEs.

Yu Zheng’s publications span interdisciplinary themes, combining Human Resource Management with International Business, Migration Studies, and Technology in Workforce Management. Her ongoing projects include the political economy of Chinese investments and transparency in technology-driven organizations.

She serves on the advisory committee of the Euro-Asia Management Studies Association (EAMSA) and is a member of the Centre for Workplace Research in Asian Societies (CWRAS). Her grants include projects on Chinese investments in Southeast Asia and the impact of technology on organizational transparency.
