معرفی
Yu Zhang is an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Medical Oncology) at Yale School of Medicine. He holds appointments in Medical Oncology and Hematology, and is affiliated with the Chen Lab. His research focuses on cancer biology, prostate cancer heterogeneity, and novel therapeutic strategies for drug-resistant cancers. Dr. Zhang completed his PhD at Yale University (2021), MD at Case Western Reserve University (2010), and BS at Cornell University (2005). He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.
Education:
- PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Yale University, 2021
- MD, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, 2010
- BS in Biology, Cornell University, 2005
Research Interests:
- Mechanisms of cancer cell heterogeneity
- Development of targeted therapies for prostate cancer
- Molecular interactions between cancer cells and stromal microenvironment
- Neurotransmitter channel functions in oncogenic processes
Recent work emphasizes overcoming drug resistance through innovative conjugate therapies and exploring GABA receptor pathways in cancer progression. His lab investigates cellular fusion events driving tumor heterogeneity, with implications for immunotherapy efficacy.
