Yu-Shen Lin is an Assistant Professor at Boston University, affiliated with the Geometry and Physics research group. His research focuses on Enumerative Geometry, Differential Geometry, and Mirror Symmetry, with a particular emphasis on SYZ conjecture, Calabi-Yau manifolds, and Lagrangian submanifolds. Lin’s work bridges algebraic geometry and mathematical physics, often involving tropical geometry and geometric analysis.
His education includes a PhD from Harvard University (2013). He has been supported by NSF grant DMS-2204109 and a Simons Collaboration grant. Lin supervises students like Sam Bardwell-Evans and Sidharth Soundararajan. He co-organizes the BU Geometry & Physics Seminar and Boston Algebraic Geometry Day, fostering academic collaboration.
