Youngseok Song is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics at West Virginia University. His research interests include graphical modeling, high-dimensional inference, network analysis, robust statistics, and statistical genomics. Previously, he was a postdoctoral researcher at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) working with Prof. Sofia C. Olhede. He earned his PhD in Statistics from Colorado State University under Prof. Wen Zhou.
His awards include the Boes Award for Excellence in Teaching (2021) and Department Distinguished Service Award (2018). His publications focus on statistical methodologies for complex data structures, including multivariate regression and genomic applications.
He teaches undergraduate and graduate statistics courses, including Introduction to Probability and Statistics and Statistical Methods.
