Yoshio Yamaoka, M.D., Ph.D., holds dual professorial appointments as Professor of Gastroenterology at Baylor College of Medicine (Houston, TX) and Professor & Chair of the Department of Environmental and Preventive Medicine at Oita University Faculty of Medicine (Yufu, Japan). His clinical work centers at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center with primary expertise in gastrointestinal pathophysiology.
