Dr. Yoram A. Puius is Professor in both the Department of Medicine (Infectious Diseases) and Department of Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center. He holds MD/PhD degrees from Einstein (2001), completed residency at NewYork-Presbyterian, and fellowships at Columbia and Tufts focused on transplant infections.
Research examines infections in immunocompromised hosts including LVAD/transplant recipients, tickborne diseases, and travel medicine. He founded transplantid.net, an educational resource for the American Society of Transplantation.

- Lyme disease diagnostics
Honors include Fellow of the American Society of Transplantation (2024) and Castle Connolly Top Doctor recognition.
