Yoon Jin Lee

Yoon Jin Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Political Science Department at Queens College, CUNY. Their research focuses on Indo-Pacific regional dynamics, alliance politics, international institutions, and the intersection of race and racism in international relations. They teach courses emphasizing critical thinking and global perspectives.

• Education: B.A. Economics, M.A. Regional Studies-East Asia, M.A. and Ph.D. in Government, all from Harvard University.

Research interests include analyzing how racialized power structures shape U.S.-led alliances in the Indo-Pacific and the role of international institutions in perpetuating or challenging such dynamics. Their work integrates qualitative and quantitative methodologies.

Awards include the Provost's Faculty Research Award from Wellesley College. Previous affiliations include Wellesley College (Visiting Lecturer) and Harvard University (Teaching Fellow).
