Dr Yongle Sun is a Lecturer in Additive Manufacture at Cranfield University, specializing in cross-scale modelling of metal manufacturing processes for aerospace and energy applications.

- PhD in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Manchester
His research focuses on multi-physics modelling of additive manufacturing and welding processes, with particular emphasis on residual stress/distortion prediction and mitigation. Current projects include:
