Yongguang Hu

Dr. Yongguang Hu is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at James Madison University. His research focuses on premodern and modern Chinese history, modern Japan, and world history with a particular emphasis on Confucian education, Chinese rituals, and digital history. He holds a Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Binghamton.

His work examines historical systems such as the Eight Virtue System and Three Hall System in the Northern Song Dynasty, contributing to understanding educational reforms and institutional dynamics in imperial China.
