Yogesh Chandrani is an Assistant Professor at Colorado College specializing in historical and political anthropology of modern South Asia. His research focuses on religion and secularism, colonial modernity, nationalism, violence, memory, and subjectivity. He holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Columbia University and has taught at Columbia University and New York University. His current book project explores the Muslim question in postcolonial India through an ethnographic lens.

Research Interests: Religious/secular dynamics in postcolonial contexts, Hindu majoritarianism, colonial legacies in Gujarat, and debates over religious conversion. Key Contributions: His writings include co-editing Selected Writings of Eqbal Ahmad (2006) and presenting at venues like SOAS University of London and Columbia University. Research has been supported by Fulbright and Samuel Rubin Foundation grants.
