Ylva Haidenthaller is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Division of Art History and Visual Studies, Department of Arts and Cultural Sciences, Lund University. Her research focuses on early modern art and visual culture in Scandinavia and Europe, with specializations in art sociology, anthropology, cultural transfer, and numismatics.
Her postdoctoral project investigates the connection between printed portraits and the rise of celebrity cultures in 18th-century Sweden and Europe, analyzing their production, dissemination, and mediation. She teaches and supervises courses on art and visual culture from 1400 to 1800, while also engaging with contemporary architecture and design history.
