Dr. Yixing Gao is an Associate Professor at the School of Artificial Intelligence, Jilin University. Previously, she was a Teaching Fellow in Computer Science at the University of Birmingham and a researcher in the Personal Robotics Lab at Imperial College London (2012–2016). Her PhD (2016) focused on assistive humanoid robotics for personalized dressing assistance in home environments.

Research interests include assistive robotics, human-robot interaction, computer vision, and user modeling. Her work emphasizes practical applications such as humanoid robots aiding daily tasks through advanced sensing and adaptive algorithms.
Labs/Teams: Previously contributed to the Personal Robotics Lab (Imperial College) and currently leads initiatives at Jilin University's School of Artificial Intelligence.
