Dr Yinglong He holds dual roles as an Honorary Assistant Professor at the University of Birmingham and a Lecturer at the University of Surrey's School of Mechanical Engineering Sciences. Previously, he served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge (2022) and an expert at the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (2019–2021). His research focuses on innovative, sustainable transport solutions, including Connected and Automated Vehicles, electrified powertrains, and machine learning applications in traffic management. He leads the Automated Resilient Transport Systems Laboratory at Surrey, advancing autonomous vehicle strategies through optimal control and computer vision techniques.
