Yingfang Yuan is a Research Associate at the School of Mathematical & Computer Sciences, Heriot-Watt University. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals through computational research in AI fairness and socio-technical systems.
Research Focus: She specializes in machine learning applications addressing societal challenges, including graph neural networks for molecular modeling, optimization techniques for topic modeling in circular economy, and fairness quantification in digital services. Her interdisciplinary approach bridges computer science with social equity and sustainability.
