Professor Yin Liao serves as the Director of Research at the Department of Applied Finance and Co-director of the Faculty Research Center on Nature Positive Finance and Business at Macquarie University. She holds a Master in Economics and a PhD in Financial Econometrics from the Australian National University. Her research focuses on FinTech, Household Finance, Sustainable Finance, and Financial Econometrics, with publications in top-tier journals such as Management Science and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. She collaborates with industry partners including Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, and Prospa. Yin leads a research group comprising 2 postdocs, 4 PhD students, and 5 MRes students, and serves as an Associate Editor of PLOS One. She has secured grants from ARC Linkage Projects and MQ-industry Linkage programs, totaling 15 active or completed projects. Her work emphasizes climate resilience finance, digital finance platforms, and impact investing education.
