Stefan Trueck serves as Professor of Business Analytics at Macquarie University's Department of Actuarial Studies and Business Analytics within the Macquarie Business School. He directs the Centre for Transforming Energy Markets and co-directs the Centre for Risk Analytics, while maintaining affiliations with the Data Horizons Research Centre, Smart Green Cities Research Centre, and Emerging Risks Research Centre.

His research integrates quantitative methods to address complex challenges across financial and energy sectors. Primary focus areas include risk management frameworks for electricity markets, climate-related financial risks, and econometric modeling of systemic vulnerabilities. Recent work examines extremal dependence in energy markets, agrivoltaics scalability, and banking sector concentration risks using advanced factor models and real options valuation.
