Yilmaz Yildirim

Yilmaz Yildirim, M.D., Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), School of Medicine and Dentistry, Department of Psychiatry. He earned his medical degree from Hacettepe University (Turkey) in 1994 and a Ph.D. in Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2011. Dr. Yildirim completed residency and fellowship training in psychiatry and child/adolescent psychiatry at ECU Health Medical Center (2002–2008), including a chief resident role in 2006.

He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

His publications highlight telepsychiatry's role in expanding care, addressing needs assessment frameworks, and leveraging e-mental health solutions. These works span disciplines such as psychiatry, public health, and health informatics.
