Yifei Pei is a Postgraduate Associate at the Child Study Center and the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence at Yale University. She works with Dr. Zorana Ivcevic Pringle and the Creativity and Emotions team on the Botin project, focusing on emotions, creativity, and educational programs.
Yifei holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science and Mathematical Economics from the University of Pennsylvania (2022).
Her research interests center on emotional intelligence, creativity processes, and the application of arts in education. She investigates how emotions and self-regulation skills influence creativity and evaluates educational interventions that foster these skills through the arts.
In 2024, she co-authored a chapter on creativity and crisis response, contributing to the field of crisis innovation. She has presented her work at conferences like the Society of Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity, and the Arts.
Yifei previously served as a Lab Manager at New York University’s Social Morality and Identity Lab and Collective Cognition Lab, where she contributed to studies on social psychology and group behavior.
