Yifan Yuan, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. His research integrates molecular biology, bioengineering, and computational tools to study lung vascular microenvironments and develop native-mimicking models for disease and regenerative medicine. He completed his PhD at the University of Ottawa/Ottawa Hospital Research Institute and postdoctoral training at Yale University, focusing on lung and vessel engineering, single-cell RNA sequencing, and computational analysis.
