معرفی
Yichen Wang is a computational biologist working at the intersection of somatic mutation analysis, aging, and early cancer development. She holds a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Wellcome Sanger Institute and a Junior Research Fellowship at Wolfson College, University of Cambridge.
- BSc in Biological Science and Applied Mathematics from Peking University
- PhD in Computational Biology from the University of Cambridge (Wellcome Trust-funded)
- Part-time online Master's in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology
Her research combines genome sequencing and computational tools to study somatic mutations in normal tissues as biomarkers for aging and cancer risk. Current work focuses on DNA methylation's role in mutation rates and disease progression.
Yichen's publications, including collaborative projects in Cancer Cell, analyze mutational signatures in precancerous lesions and environmental exposures. Her methodology bridges bioinformatics, tissue analysis, and somatic evolution studies.
