Yibeltal Alemu

Dr. Yibeltal Alemu is Associate Professor of Global Health Systems at UQ's School of Public Health, coordinating courses on health systems and global health. His research examines health system strengthening, primary health care reforms, and disease control programs in resource-limited settings.

Before joining UQ, he held leadership positions at Ethiopian Public Health Institute and Federal HIV/AIDS Prevention Office, where he developed national guidelines and monitoring frameworks. His research informs universal health coverage policies, with publications in Bulletin of the WHO, Lancet, and BMJ Global Health.
