Yemi Adediji is an Assistant Professor in the School of Urban and Regional Planning at Toronto Metropolitan University. She holds a PhD in Planning & Public Policy from Rutgers University, a Master's in City and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master's in Real Estate Development from New York University. Prior to her current role, she was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Urban Analytics Institute.
Her research focuses on data analytics, mobility, and land-use, addressing transportation policy challenges such as safety modeling, spatial analysis, and disruptive technology's impact on cities. She employs mixed-methods approaches to explore questions at the intersection of urban design and socioeconomic dynamics.
Adediji's work has been published in journals like Transport Findings and Accident Analysis and Prevention, and she has contributed technical reports on urban policy issues like ride-sharing regulation and parking standards for high-rise buildings. Her teaching portfolio includes courses such as Statistics for Planners and Planning for Non-Planners, with interests in innovative urban theories and technological advancements in cities.
Collaboration with the Urban Analytics Institute highlights her engagement with interdisciplinary urban research. Current projects emphasize data-driven solutions for equitable urban mobility systems.
