Alla Yemets is a Full Professor and Head of the Department of Cell Biology and Biotechnology at the Institute of Food Biotechnology and Genomics, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. She has held academic positions at Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University since 1998 and previously led laboratories at multiple NASU institutes.
- Education: Dr. Sci. (Cell Biology, 2011), PhD (Cell Biology, 1996), M.S. (Cell Biology and Genetic Engineering, 1992)
Her research focuses on plant cytoskeleton, molecular biotechnology, genomics, and nanobiotechnology. She has contributed to structural bioinformatics and biochemistry in plant systems.
She has received numerous national awards, including the State Prize of Ukraine (2012, 2005), M.G. Kholodny Prize (2019), and NASU accolades. She serves on scientific committees for the National Research Foundation of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
