Yee Eun Nam

Yee Eun Nam is an Assistant Professor of Scene Design and Projection Design at the Claire Trevor School of Arts, University of California Irvine. She holds an MFA in Theater Design from UCLA and BFA in Design and Metal Craft from Seoul National University. A visual artist specializing in live performances and digital media, she has designed for major institutions including the Metropolitan Opera, Goodman Theatre, and Mark Taper Forum.

Her research explores experimental visual design through her studio PIGMENT DESIGN LAB, focusing on innovative approaches to theatrical and operatic storytelling. She investigates the intersection of traditional stagecraft with emerging digital technologies.

Professor Nam's recent accolades include nominations for Lucille Lortel Awards and wins for LADCC Theatrical Excellence awards. She maintains professional membership in United Scenic Artists Local 829.
