Dr. Yecun Wu is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Physics at Stanford University, where he works under the supervision of Nobel laureate Prof. Steven Chu. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (2023), M.S. in Electrical Engineering (2020), and B.S. in Electronic Science and Technology (2016) from Stanford University and Beijing Institute of Technology, respectively.
Research Interests: His work bridges quantum sensing, quantum materials, and energy storage, focusing on applying quantum technologies to visualize and enhance battery systems. He has pioneered methods for controlling 2D materials via guest species intercalation and developed atomic-scale quantum sensors for battery diagnostics.
Selected Scientific Awards:
- Stanford Energy Postdoctoral Fellowship (2024-2027)
- Cardinal Ventures Deeptech Fellowship (2022)
- Leland F. and Margaret Perry Johnson Fellowship (2017)
- Cross-disciplinary Scholarship in Science and Technology (CSST) (2015)
- Xu Teli Scholarship (2015)
- National Scholarship (2014)
Contributions: He organized the Stanford Physics, Identity, and Equity (PIE) program, mentored in the Stanford Engineering Research Introductions program, and served as guest lecturer in EE 310. His interdisciplinary expertise combines insights from electrical engineering, materials science, chemistry, and physics.
