Yasu Santo is a Lecturer in Interactive Design at the School of Architecture & Built Environment, Queensland University of Technology (QUT). He holds a PhD from QUT and an AA Diploma from the Architectural Association (AA) in London. His research focuses on designing occupant-led systems for facilities management and democratic use of office environments, emphasizing prototyping and tangible interaction. Santo has taught extensively in architecture, design, and digital media since 2000, including roles at Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the AA. His work bridges physical/digital domains, with a focus on adaptive environments, participatory design, and human-plant interaction.
