Yasmin Temelli is a Professor of Romance Literature and Cultural Studies / General Literature Studies at the University of Siegen, Faculty I. She has held academic positions at Ruhr University Bochum, Bielefeld University, and Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, and has been a full professor since 2021. Her research spans Latin American and French literatures, cultural studies, gender, violence, and interdisciplinary literary analysis.

Her research focuses on literary representations of depression, gender, crime, colonialism, and cultural memory.
