Emiliano Garcilazo

Emiliano Garcilazo is a Researcher and doctoral student at the University of Siegen’s Faculty I (Romance Studies), focusing on contemporary Mexican literature and cultural studies. His research examines themes of death, memory, and violence, particularly in the works of David Toscana. As Editor-in-Chief of the interdisciplinary online journal iMex Revista, he contributes to academic discourse on Mexican studies. Garcilazo has presented lectures at conferences in Hamburg, Bochum, and Siegen, addressing topics such as misanthropy in Mexican novels, literary memory circulation, and political violence in Argentine literature.
