Yaroslav Prylepskiy is a Senior Research Fellow at the Aston Institute of Photonic Technologies (AiPT), part of the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences at Aston University. His roles include research leadership in optical communications, machine learning, and nonlinear systems. He holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the B.I. Verkin Institute for Low Temperature Physics and Engineering, Ukraine.

Research Interests:
- Optical communications and signal processing
- Nonlinear Fourier transform (NFT) and soliton-based transmission
- Machine learning applications in optical systems
- Nonlinear Schrödinger Equation and Riemann-Hilbert problem

Advising: Supervised 7 PhD students, including current advisees in optical communications and AI.
