Yannick Bardy is an Associate Professor at the University of Lille, affiliated with the Faculty of Languages, Cultures and Societies and the Department of Roman, Slavic and Oriental Studies. He specializes in the history of Early Modern Japan (Edo period: 1600–1868), with a focus on socio-religious dynamics, rural structures, and social status hierarchies.
