Yangchuan Xing

Yangchuan Xing is a Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Missouri, with an adjunct appointment in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE). He holds a PhD from Yale University and a postdoctoral fellowship from Johns Hopkins University. His research focuses on advanced functional materials, electrocatalysis for fuel cells, and sustainable manufacturing of nanopowders. He has led over $5M in grants from NSF, DOE, and industry partners, and his work has been recognized with a named professorship (2025-2028). He teaches courses in transport phenomena, chemical reaction engineering, and process design.

He develops novel materials for CO₂ capture, optoelectronic devices using perovskite nanocrystals, and sustainable industrial processes.
