Yancy Shirley is a Professor in the Department of Astronomy and an Associate Astronomer at Steward Observatory, University of Arizona. His research focuses on star formation, the interstellar medium, astrochemistry, and astrobiology, combining observational studies with radiative transfer modeling.
Dr. Shirley specializes in radio and infrared imaging and spectroscopy, utilizing single-dish radio telescopes, interferometers, and space-based observatories. He is an active member of the International Astronomical Union.
