Yan Kung is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at Bryn Mawr College, where he leads the Kung Lab. His research focuses on elucidating enzyme mechanisms using X-ray crystallography and biochemical techniques, with applications in biofuel and drug production. Kung holds a B.A. from Colby College and a Ph.D. from MIT, followed by postdoctoral work at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

Research Interests: The Kung Lab investigates enzyme structures and functions, particularly in biosynthetic pathways for biofuels and drugs. Techniques employed include X-ray crystallography, biochemical assays, and synchrotron data collection.
