معرفی
Dr. Yaling Jiang is a Visiting Professor at the Department of Preventive Dentistry, Academic Centre for Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA). Her research focuses on oral microbial ecology, biofilm dynamics, and their implications in dental diseases like periodontitis. She holds a PhD in Microbial Ecology from the same institution, defended in 2021 with her thesis on saliva-derived microcosm biofilm models.
Key research interests include:
- Antimicrobial peptide interactions with biofilms
- Mycobiome roles in oncogenesis and drug resistance
- Red-complex bacteria distribution in periodontitis
- Salivary microbiota modeling for disease studies
Her work combines in vitro models, molecular techniques like real-time PCR, and meta-analytical approaches. Recent studies explore fungal-immune interactions in pancreatic cancer contexts.
Collaborations span microbial pathogenesis, immunology, and pharmacology. Active in peer-reviewed publishing with a focus on high-impact open-access journals.
