Yair Rosenthal is a Distinguished Professor at Rutgers University's Department of Marine and Coastal Sciences, specializing in Geochemistry and Paleoceanography. His research focuses on reconstructing past ocean properties and climate dynamics using geochemical proxies. He holds affiliations with the Cook Campus and has been at Rutgers since 1997.
Education: B.Sc. (Geology/Biology) and M.Sc. (Geochemistry) from Hebrew University, followed by a Ph.D. in Oceanography from MIT/WHOI Joint Program under Prof. Ed Boyle. Postdoctoral work at Biosphere II explored CO2 effects on ecosystems.
