Yafa Shanneik is a Visiting Professor of Islamic Studies at the Centre for Theology and Religious Studies, Lund University. Her research intersects Islam, gender, and migration across Europe and the Middle East, with a focus on transnational Muslim female resistance movements and ethnographic studies of female agency in Iran and Arab Gulf states. She has secured over £350,000 (SEK 4 million) in research funding, including two British Academy grants.
