Yael Haislip is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Music at the University of Delaware. She teaches MUED270: Critical Issues in Music Education and ARSC301: Aesthetics and Education. Currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Literacy Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, her research focuses on embodied learning through the arts, preservice teacher education, and social justice in education.

Her research emphasizes arts integration, culturally sustaining pedagogy, and equity in education. She collaborates with institutions like the Delaware Institute for Arts in Education (DiAE) and the Gateway Lab School, offering workshops on diversity and music-integrated instruction. Yael has co-led cross-disciplinary projects such as Same Story, Different Countries (2016) and Suite Blackness: Black Dance in Cinema (2023). Her work prioritizes marginalized communities and social justice advocacy in educational settings.
Notably, she served as a research mentor for UD Arts Bridge America (2010–2016), fostering partnerships between academia and schools. Yael’s professional service includes roles as an educational coordinator and volunteer for community programs.
