Yacouba Banhoro

Dr. Yacouba Banhoro serves as Senior Lecturer in Contemporary History at Burkina Faso's University Joseph Ki-Zerbo and directs the African Cluster Centre under the Africa Multiple Cluster of Excellence collaboration between his home institution and Germany's University of Bayreuth. His academic trajectory followed a decade as a secondary school teacher after completing his Master's degree.

Currently at Bayreuth's Cluster of Excellence, he is synthesizing decades of research into a monograph tracing Burkina Faso's health journey from French colonial establishment through the Global Health era (1990-2020), aiming to inform future policy through historical insights into disease management dynamics.
