Yacine Chitour is a Professor at CentraleSupélec, affiliated with the Laboratoire des Signaux et Systèmes (L2S). His research focuses on control theory, stability analysis, delay-differential equations, and mathematical modeling in vision. He has contributed to key areas such as nonlinear systems, controllability of partial differential equations, and the application of geometric methods to control problems.
Chitour holds notable awards including the IUF Senior position (2018-2023) and has served in administrative roles such as Director of the iCODE institute. His work includes over 70 journal articles and book chapters, addressing topics like the MacKay effect, switched systems, and stabilization techniques. He has organized significant conferences and contributed to collaborative projects like the CIMPA School in Tlemcen, Algeria.
His research also involves interdisciplinary applications, including robotics, neuroscience, and telecommunications, reflecting his broad expertise in applied mathematics and control systems.
