Prof. Ya Xiong TAO is a Visiting Professor affiliated with the Jockers Team at the Institut Cochin in Paris. He holds a primary position at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Auburn University (USA). His research focuses on elucidating the structure-function relationships of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), particularly the neuronal melanocortin type 3 and 4 receptors, which play critical roles in regulating food intake and energy homeostasis. His work investigates how genetic mutations in these receptors contribute to severe obesity pathophysiology.
