Assoc. Prof. YAVUZ UYSAL is affiliated with Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University's Faculty of Education, Department of Turkish and Social Sciences Education. He holds a PhD in Turkish Language and Literature from Erciyes University (2014), an MA in Turkish Folk Literature from Selçuk University (2008), and a BA in Turkish Language Teaching from Selçuk University's Ahmet Keleşoğlu Faculty of Education (2005). His research focuses on Turkish Folklore, Alevism, Bektashism, and regional cultural practices in Turkey's Mediterranean and southeastern regions.

Research interests include folk narratives, ritual studies, and comparative analysis of regional folklore traditions. His work explores topics like circumcision ceremonies, marriage practices, and the influence of Bektashi Sufism in folk culture. Notable publications address Gazipaşa folklore, Khakas tales, and Vital Cuinet's observations of Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli lodges.
He has served as department head at Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (2016–2019) and held administrative roles including Director of Research and Application Center (2016–2017). His supervision of MA and PhD theses includes studies on Gazipaşa folklore and Khakas tales.
