Prof. Dr. YAVUZ PEHLİVAN serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Rheumatology within the Department of Internal Medicine at Bursa Uludag University Faculty of Medicine, where he has been a faculty member since 2013.
His academic qualifications include:
- Graduation from Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (2003)
- Specialist training in Internal Medicine at Gaziantep University Faculty of Medicine (2009)
- Specialist training in Rheumatology at Gaziantep University (2013)
His research focuses on clinical rheumatology with emphasis on autoimmune disorders, inflammatory joint diseases, and systemic manifestations of rheumatic conditions. His work integrates clinical practice with academic teaching in Internal Medicine subspecialties, particularly addressing diagnostic and therapeutic challenges in rheumatological pathologies within the Turkish healthcare context.
As department head, he oversees both educational programs and clinical services in rheumatology while maintaining active involvement in the faculty's accredited medical education system revalidated until 2024 by UTEAK.
