Prof. Dr. CENGİZ AKKAYA is a faculty member at Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine, currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Mental Health and Diseases. He completed his medical education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine (1997) and specialized in psychiatry at Uludağ University (2003). His career spans roles as Psychiatrist (2004-2007), Assistant Professor (2007-2010), Associate Professor (2010-2015), and Professor since 2015.
His research focuses on clinical psychiatry, mental health disorders, and neurology within Turkey’s healthcare context. He has contributed to 77 WoS-indexed publications and 56 Scopus-indexed works, with significant citation metrics (H-Index: 14 in Scopus; 14 in WoS).
As part of the Faculty of Medicine, he participates in educational programs accredited by the UTEAK National Medical Education Accreditation Board until 2024. Additional activities include involvement in ethical committees and academic governance structures.
