Xun Gong is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Central Florida (UCF), where he leads advanced research in microwave systems and wireless sensing. His work bridges RF engineering with materials science, focusing on antennas, flexible electronics, and packaging for extreme environments.
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan (2005)
His research interests include:
- Microwave filters and passive components
- Reconfigurable antenna arrays for DARPA-funded projects
- Wireless passive sensors in harsh environments
- Phased/reflectarray systems and micromachining
- Integration of ferroelectric/ceramic materials with RF devices
