Xue Qikun

Xue Qikun is a Chair Professor at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and the current President of SUSTech since November 2020. Previously, he served as Vice President for Research at Tsinghua University (2013–2020) and Chair of the Department of Physics and Dean of the School of Sciences at Tsinghua University (2010–2013). He has also been Director of the Beijing Academy of Quantum Information Sciences since 2017.

• Scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy
• Molecular beam epitaxy
• Topological insulators and quantum states
• High-temperature superconductivity
• Low-dimensional and interface-related superconductivity
• Quantum size effects in nanostructures
