Lu Haizhou

Lu Haizhou is a Chair Professor in the Department of Physics at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), Shenzhen, China. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from Tsinghua University's Institute for Advanced Study (2007) and held positions at the University of Hong Kong (2007–2015) before joining SUSTech in 2015 as Associate Professor, later promoted to Professor (2018–2021) and Chair Professor (2021–present).

• Teaches quantum mechanics and quantum transport theory
• Director of the Ministry of Education's national first-class undergraduate course in Quantum Mechanics

Research Focus: Theoretical condensed matter physics, particularly quantum transport properties in topological matter and novel materials. His work provides prototype theories for next-generation electronic devices, including the discovery of a new mechanism for the 3D quantum Hall effect.

Selected Publications (2010–2021) span journals like Nature Reviews Physics and Physical Review Letters, emphasizing nonlinear Hall effects, topological semimetals, and Fermi arc dynamics.
